38 Degrees: join us
38 Degrees brings you together with other people to take action on the issues that matter to you and bring about real change.
Earlier this year, we took action to save green jobs at the Vestas wind turbine factory on the Isle of Wight. We've now closed this campaign after delivering our petition to Ed Miliband, Minister for Energy and Climate Change.

38 Degrees members took action to try and save the Vestas wind turbine factory on the Isle of Wight from closure, leading to the loss of 600 of the UK's first green jobs. Unfortunately, so far, the government hasn't taken action to save the factory. But we handed in the petition to Ed Miliband at the Department for Energy and Climate Change to make sure that he understood how strongly we felt about green jobs being the right approach to economic recovery.
Now, we're calling on MPs to support the 10:10 campaign, which asks individuals, organisations and government to reduce their emissions by 10% by 2010. You can e-mail your MP to ask them to take action in two minutes by clicking here.
We're also urging Government to halt plans to renew Trident, the nuclear weapons system which experts predict could cost over £80 billion over its lifetime.
